Can I cancel or change my booking if I need to?
- Yes, with Auckland Airport's own parking, you can cancel all bookings up to 24 hours prior to your booked entry time. The simplest way is to click on the "Manage my booking" button in the parking section of the site. Enter your email address and booking reference number.
- For other parking providers, it will depend on the company you book with. If you're unsure, ask.
- For hotels offering free parking, you will need to check the terms and conditions of the hotel stay. In some instances, the room you book which activates the free parking may be non-refundable.

What is valet parking?
Valet parking is offered by Auckland Airport's dedicated car parks right beside the international and domestic terminals. Rather than drive your car to a covered or uncovered spot, valet parking allows you to drop your car off at a designated parking area very close to the terminal. A team member then parks your car, and you collect your keys when you fly back to Auckland. It is usually the most expensive parking option, but last-minute deals observed by MoneyHub over 2019 suggested it can sometimes offer savings.
What if my flight back to Auckland is delayed and I overrun my parking time?
It depends on the car parking company, but overall your car is safe and won't be ticketed or towed. You'll either pay the additional time incurred, which is charged at the lowest rate (i.e. not the 10 or 20-minute rate), or nothing at all if you're on a fixed daily or multi-day price and return within the day.

- For long-term stays, you may want to give yourself an allowance for delayed flights. If so, it's always best to put your leaving time five hours after your arrival flight.
- This gives you time to clear the airport, arrange your pickup or meeting point, and exit the carpark.
