What is Rewardia?
Rewardia is an online survey site that pays you either cash or gift cards to your favorite retailers for providing your opinion. You may also earn money by playing games, watching videos, or reading emails.
Rewardia pays users in points, which you can redeem for prizes. 1,000 points equals $1 and you can redeem for gift cards ranging from $5 to $200. Rewardia won’t pay your bills or make you rich, but it can be a fun way to earn a little side cash, especially if you love answering questions, playing games, or reading ‘salesy’ emails.

Rewardia – Pros & Cons
Pros:
Cons:
Our View:
- Rewardia shows you the points you’ll earn for each survey on your dashboard so you know if they are worth your time
- You can earn points by opting-in for email reminders about your surveys (a one-time bonus)
- You can earn points by playing (and winning) certain games, including Scramble Words and Pyramid Solitaire
- You can earn points answering trivia questions (if you answer them right)
- Rewardia pays you 10% of your friend’s earnings if they use your referral code
- Rewardia points never expire
- You may earn bonus points by redeeming your points for certain gift card increments depending on your level (Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Platinum)
Cons:
- You won’t earn a lot of money, one survey worth 1,000 points may seem like a lot, but it’s $1
- You must divulge quite a bit of personal information, including financial information to get qualified for surveys to make it worth it
- Not everyone qualifies for surveys often, it depends on what the companies need at the time and you may not meet those needs
- Rewardia recalculates your membership status (how many points you’ve earned in 3 consecutive months) each month; if you don’t participate much in a month, you could lose your membership (and bonuses)
Our View:
- Rewardia can be fun, especially if you like to play online games, but you aren’t going to get rich playing them - in fact, it's one of the lowest paying survey websites.
- The surveys can be lengthy, but if you enjoy helping companies improve their products or provide better customer service, it may help
- It's easy to get ‘sucked in’ to the games, so don’t catch yourself wasting too much time because you’re ‘earning money’
- You won’t always have surveys available; it depends on the demographics companies require and if you meet them
8 Must-Know Facts about Rewardia
The initial screener asks personal questionsTo sign up, you’ll only provide your name and email address. But once you’re in, you’ll answer more personal questions, including your birth date, gender, region/postal code, marital status, homeownership status, financial questions, and questions about your lifestyle.
Once you complete the survey, you’ll earn 115 points. This screener is also how Rewardia matches you with surveys. |
To earn bonus points, you must earn a specific number of points each monthRewardia tracks your history and places you in a ‘membership tier.’ All new users have a Bronze membership which has no bonuses, but you can work your way up to the following:
As you reach each status level, you earn bonuses on your gift card redemptions between 1% - 5%. |
You need 50,000 points to redeem your points for cash ($50)Let’s look at this realistically. If you earn 1,000 points a survey, you’d need to take 50 surveys before you could cash out for $50. It may sound like a lot, but when you think about the time it takes to complete 50 surveys, it may not feel so worth it. But, if you enjoy playing games and answering the occasional survey, it may be worth it for you.

There’s no guarantee you’ll get survey invitesRewardia provides surveys as their companies need them. They don’t control when they receive surveys and who qualifies. You could receive many offers in one day and then go weeks without an offer.
The more honest you answer the 23 screening questions, the more opportunities you’ll get, but again, there are no guarantees. |
You may have a survey opportunity and still not qualifyEven if a survey appears on your dashboard, you may click on it to take the survey to find it’s not available. This happens when they’ve met their quota and don’t need more responses.
You could also get ‘screened out’ if you don’t meet the demographics the company needs. They often add screening questions which are additional questions to what you already answered about yourself to get answers from the right audience. Many people get ‘screened out.’ |
The more information you provide in the initial screener, the better your chances of getting surveysThe initial screener may seem awfully personal. It asks questions about your income, job, business model, marital status, home and car ownership status. The more information you provide, the better they can match you with surveys, but you always have the option to select ‘prefer not to answer'.
|
Don’t count on the incomeIf you’re using Rewardia to bring in a little extra cash, don’t count it in your budget. It can take a long time to hit 50,000 points to get your $50 cash. There’s no guarantee as to how long it may take, and $50 isn’t going to pay most of your bills. Consider it ‘fun money’ or a fun way to kill time you’d otherwise waste on social media or playing games that don’t pay you.
|
Don’t get caught up in the gamesIf you love games, it’s easy to get caught up in the Rewardia games as they are the ‘typical’ games people play, such as Solitaire. Don’t let yourself think ‘I’m getting paid’ so you keep playing. It can get addicting, but you’ll only earn a few points when you win and we all know these computer games don’t let you win often.
