Valued Opinions is a legitimate research company, but it does not offer a full-time income or any type of reliable income stream. Nonetheless, Valued Opinions offers New Zealanders a regular opportunity to take surveys and earn credit which you can redeem for gift cards from well-known retailers such as Rebel Sports, Subway Sandwiches and Farmers.

Valued Opinions - Pros & Cons
Pros:
Cons:
Our view:
- You can earn around $2 to $3 for 25 minutes of work.
- The frequency of invitations to complete surveys ranges between users; offers can be daily, weekly or monthly.
- While cash isn't earned, the dollar rewards convert to vouchers starting at $10 (Subway Sandwiches) or $12 (Hoyts cinema ticket).
- Unlike other online survey platforms, there isn't a points system - you earn in understandable dollar amounts. And unlike other platforms, Valued Opinions a legitimate website.
- Valued Opinions' rewards partners include well-known and useful New Zealand-based retailers, such as Farmers, Subway Sandwiches and JB Hi-Fi.
Cons:
- Completing your profile to be offered surveys can take up to an hour, and is unpaid.
- Surveys you receive invites to can expire without notice, meaning delays logging into the site can mean missing out on earning opportunities.
- Valued Opinions is all about spending power. People with higher spending power, i.e. have jobs with purchasing control and/or are responsible for household spending will, generally, be offered more surveys than stay-at-home parents, the unemployed or the retired. This is because the companies who hire Valued Opinions have products or services to sell, and want data and insights from people with money to buy them.
Our view:
- Valued Opinions isn't going to make you rich - we estimate $7/hour is realistic for an expected income for the time you have to invest.
- Many users enjoy the surveys knowing that they can earn gift vouchers which can bring down everyday bills.
- Valued Opinions isn't pretending to offer a job - it's simply a way to earn something for contributing your time.
- If you have spare time, Valued Opinions is a simple way to earn a few vouchers for everyday items. It's easy to follow, and more productive and lucrative than watching YouTube videos, browsing Facebook or reading the paper.
- Want to know more or sign up? Visit the Valued Opinions website. It takes two minutes to sign up, and about an hour to complete the personal information section on your profile which is needed to target you with the right surveys.
